Happy New Year!
The BLB board members met this past weekend to discuss upcoming events. After a bit of a hiatus from events during the holiday season, the board has resolved to make 2012 the best BLB year yet! Our resolutions include:
1. Plan a group wide event every 4-6 weeks
2. Communicate with our membership with a regular email newsletter
3. Build up our membership with a diverse group of women in the Austin area.
Our first event will be January 26th... an Apps and Wine Get-Together at the Domain from 5:30-7:30. We'll choose a place shortly, after we assess the best Happy Hour specials in that area. If you have any suggestions or have a favorite, let us know! As for what to look forward to, here is a run down of what to expect in the upcoming months:
Late February - Wine Tasting Fundraiser
March - Hera Day Brunch & Diaper Drive
April - Attending the Collegiate Chapter's Fashion Show Fundraiser, another TBD social event
May - Hall of Commitment Ceremony
Details will follow as we finalize plans for each of the events above. Be on the look-out for our first newsletter email that will include a survey. We are interested in what types of events you enjoy and what times during the week work best for you!
